Meet Chef Ali, aka Galley Ali
Hi! I’m Chef Ali, better known as Galley Ali, a nickname earned while private cheffing aboard luxury superyachts and at private estates around the world.
My culinary journey began at just 13, and by 21, I had earned my Red Seal Chef Certificate after studying the culinary arts at VCC. Decades of travel and living abroad have shaped my style, with Greece, the Bahamas, and Italy holding a special place in my heart.
Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of cooking for royalty, celebrities, athletes, politicians, and maybe even the lead singer of your favourite ’90s boy band.
I love creating bold, colourful, decadent dishes, while bringing a passion for nutrition and making the most of fresh, local, seasonal top-quality ingredients. My style is as versatile as my experience, ranging from relaxed backyard BBQs to elegant, themed, multi-course tasting menus.
Every experience is personal. I encourage my clients to collaborate with me in designing their dream menu, or explore my collection of favourite dishes, and tweak them to your personal liking, while incorporating whats local and seasonal. Whether you know exactly what you want, or need a little inspiration, I’m here to make it deliciously memorable, in the comfort of your own home or venue.

A streamlined sourcing and delivery service for visiting yachts unfamiliar with Vancouver. I locate and organize specialty foods, fresh produce, and quality proteins, with hand delivery directly to the dock.
- Personalized Provisioning Runs
Accompany me on a full-day shopping trip to hand-select provisions from Vancouver’s specialty stores and markets. Coolers and in-car freezer space are available to keep your provisions stable and fresh.
